Series of these frames are placed upright, perpendicular to the flow of water The water, after being treated with the Floc Logs, passes through the baffle grid, where the treated sediment in captured by the fabric, allowing the clarified water to pass through. The baffle grid does not reduce the water flow as it does not act as a filter. Placement of the Floc LogsPlacement of the Floc Log should be used as close to the source of the particle suspension and turbidity as possible. Finer particles and colloidal suspensions will require greater mixing times, usually never greater than 75 seconds, but typically 10 to 30 seconds. The mixing time is the time it takes for the water to flow through the launder pipe.
